The Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) is a government body under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.Businesses involved in the export of scheduled food products (like fruits, vegetables, meat, poultry, dairy, honey, alcoholic beverages, confectionery, etc.) must obtain APEDA Registration.After registration, exporters receive a Registration-cum-Membership Certificate (RCMC) which enables them to avail government benefits, participate in export promotion schemes, and legally export agricultural/processed food items.
